Bubela.gal is a company from Lugo that elaborates artisanal pasta and beer with local products. We made them this little interview so you could get to known them better.

1. Who are you and what do you do?

We are a small company from Lugo that elaborates pasta and artisanal and ecologic beer in Lugo.

2. Could you make a little review of your story since the company was born?

The project was born 7 years ago, as a result of our interest in local consuption, healthy fook and recovery of traditional an artisanal know-how. With the aim of innovation and offering appetizing products, ata a fair price and in local sales channels as organic shops, caterinig and restouration, with a focus on local sales.

3. What are your future plans? Where do you want to go?

We are working in some lines:

• Doing our work and products more sustainable and organic possible, continuing with production 100% organic, reducing the consumption of energy, continuing to invest in energy cooperatives as Nosa Enerxía, continue to promote bulk sales, and find sustainable packaging.
• Acquire raw material as local as possible, to promote local economy, fair prices for all, and minimize negative impact of transportation.  
• Enforce sales on local shops, groups of consumption and direct sales to the end-consumer. 

4. What is your web? Why do you choose Bubela? And, why do you prefer .gal domain?

Our web is bubela.gal.

This is the name of the company; we choose that name because we love that bird. The Bubela (hoopoe), apart from being beautiful, is a migratory bird that often spends winters in Africa and summer in Europe, and this also resumes part of our philosophy of “artisanal fusion”, that means, we learn from the artisanal developed for centuries in other places of the world and try to adapt them to our cultural reality. So, we have Galician pasta, in which we use on some elaborations rye, chestnut or seaweed flour. Or beers in English, Belgian or Scottish styles where we use, among the style, wheat, Galician bitter orange peel or coffee liqueur, for example. 

The .gal domain is a natural election for us, none other domain could be better to define us. 

5. What do you think that domain .gal offers you?

Community helps to identify the geographical and cultural place which explains what we are, where we elaborate and where we want to develop the main part of our activity.
